Mono Audio Amp Breakout - TPA2005D1

Description: Use this amp to add a speaker to your project. This mono amp will work with either 4 or 8 ohm speakers and provides up to 1.4 watts of glorious mono sound power to an 8 ohm speaker.

Either use the amp at maximum volume or add an optional external 10k ohm potentiometer for added volume control. Another neat feature is the broken out "shut down" pin. Use it to turn off the amp if you are using a battery power.

Basic Hook Up:1. Connect audio source to IN+ and IN-, 2. Connect speaker to OUT+ and OUT-, 3. Connect power 2.5 - 5.5 volts to PWR, Ground to GND, (SDN* may be left disconnected)

Using optional volume potentiometer: 1. Make sure that the solder jumper is open (no blob of solder shorting them together), 2. Attach potentiometer (10k ohm) to the three VOL pins

Using the shutdown option: When the SDN* pin is disconnected or at a high value, the device is on, 2. when the SDN* pin is low, the amp is "shutdown" in power saving mode.
