Shipping & Returns


We normally process and ship orders placed (before 2pm eastern) on the same day from Monday to Friday. The shipping times quoted below are from after the order is processed.

We do not ship to PO boxes.

Fair shipping policy: Our shipping rates are based on estimates, we aim to only charge you exactly what the shipping costs. Unfortunately, orders under $10.00 U.S. subject to a "small order handling" fee of $2.00 U.S..

Please make sure to provide a valid e-mail when creating your account. An invalid e-mail may cause delays, if we need to contact you while we process your order.

If your your shipping address is in the continental U.S. and your order is over $200.00 US (before shipping) you will be eligible for free shipping. Be sure to choose FREE SHIPPING, when checking out.

Our U.S. shipping rates are based on weight. ie The heavier your order the more it will cost to ship.

We do not charge taxes or other fees on orders going to the U.S.A. According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website, shipments under $800 will pass duty free. You may be charged; taxes, brokerage fees and or duties on your shipment. These fees if applied are impossible for us to predetermine and are your responsibility to pay if charged.

Please note: all of our shipments leave from SpikenzieLabs' shop in Montreal, Quebec, Canada so our rates are not the same as the USPS rates you may be accustomed to.

Local Pick-up:

Order on-line - Pick-up at our warehouse

  • Customers with shipping addresses in Quebec (due to local sales taxes) may check-out on-line with "no charge" local pick-up at our warehouse as the shipping option.
  • If you are visiting from outside of Quebec, you are still welcome to come by, we will simply process your order at the counter (see below).
  • Pick-up hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays.
  • Please wait for our staff to finish preparing your pick-up order, you will receive a "pick-up order is ready" confirmation email.
  • Person named on the invoice is the only person permitted to do the pick-up. (Photo ID required).

  • It is always best to place your order online and pick it up when you are notified.
  • If you need other items, are from out of town etc... we can often pick it for you on the spot.
  • Have the part numbers ready. Please refer to this website for those part numbers.
  • Counter hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays.
  • COVID limitation: Our ability to pick items while you wait is staffing dependant and not always possible as we are still following local government safety and staffing guidelines due to COVID.
  • PLEASE NOTE: We are a manufacturer and distributor of electronics kits and parts with a web store. We ofter local pick-up as a convenience to our customers. We do not have a typical retail store with shelves of stock to browse, but rather a customer service counter where you may pick-up your orders.

Sales taxes: Customers in Canada are required to pay sales taxes. Either GST or HST depending on your province. Customers in Quebec are also required to pay provincial sales taxes PST (TVQ). These amounts, if charged, will be added on a separate line while you checkout. Currently our Canadian shipping rates are charged as a flat-rate, depending on your shipping address.

SHIPPING OPTIONS: International Customers
We ship almost anywhere. We use a fixed rate depending on your shipping address. If no shipping method is available for your shipping address, please send us an email and if possible we will add your location.
Your local government may charge you a VAT, duties, brokerage or other fees on your order. These fees if applied are impossible for us to predetermine and are your responsibility to pay if charged.

Back-Orders: Real
Orders with items that are out of stock will be held until the items are in stock and then shipped complete with only one shipping charge.
If you would like a partial shipment of just the parts that are in stock, make two orders, one for the in stock parts and one for the items that are back-ordered.
Ordering items that are back-ordered gives you the benefit of getting these items as soon as they are back in stock.
If an items is out of stock, check the products information page to see an ETA (Estimated time of arrival) (if available) at our warehouse.

Back-Orders: Mistakes
We take great care to make sure that our inventory levels are accurate so that when you checkout all of the in-stock items are actually in stock.
If we made a mistake and items are not actually not in stock, we will ship out the items that are in-stock and the balance at our expense when the items are back in stock.

All returns require an RMA number. E-mail our customer service to acquire one. Please include your order number and a brief description of the problem.
Shipping fees are not refundable. Only new sellable items complete with all the parts and packaging may be returned. Items that have been used, soldered or powered-up are not returnable.
Shipping costs of the returned items are the responsibility of the customer.
